History of Valencia
In the 1960s, Valencia was planned by the Newhall Land and Farming Company. During the time, development of Valencia began and it continues to expand to the present day. The city of Valencia known for its landscaped boulevards. It has a mix of shopping centers, offices, apartment buildings, single-family homes, warehouses and more. College of the Canyons, California Institute of the Arts, West Ranch High School and Valencia High School are the majors schools located in this neighborhood.
Valencia is an affluent neighbor that is located in Santa Clarita, California and is adjacent to Interstate 5. In 2006, Money Magazine ranked the city one of the top 100 places to live. A major attraction of neighborhood is Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park with Six Flag Hurricane Harbor water park adjacent to it.
The city contains villages. Maybe not the type of villages you’re thinking about. Valencia’s residential areas are sectioned into villages. Each of these villages have its own lifestyle. These villages are close to shopping, schools and so on. The housing development is overseen by HOA’s regarding the upkeep and quality. A few association also implement a neighbor watch program making these villages very safe. There are paved pathway systems throughout Awesometown called the paseos. These pathways are great for jogging, bicycling, rollerblading and more. The paseos make it easy to travel by foot. There is a special tax landowners have to pay for the paseos and for maintaining the landscape.
